I began my 28-day study plan on the book of Proverbs from She Reads Truth last week and I am on my fourth day today.
My reading was focused on Proverbs 4:1-7 which was headlined with Get Wisdom at Any Cost.
Verses 6 to 7 say:
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you; love her, and she will watch over you. The beginning of wisdom is this: GET WISDOM. Though it cost you all you have, get understanding.
Remember that the book of Proverbs was written by the wisest king that ever lived—King Solomon. So this is basically his life principles passed on to us. This is Solomon’s secret why he became very successful in all his endeavors.
And in this chapter, he teaches us that WISDOM is the greatest treasure we could ever have. No amount of riches nor fame could ever equal to it.
And how do we get wisdom? Proverbs 1:7 says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.
Proverbs key fundational truth is this: to pursue wisdom is to PURSUE GOD.
And that means pursuing God AT ANY COST!
…if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
How much are we willing to pursue wisdom, to pursue God??
1 Corinthians 1:25 — For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
~Oh, I want to know you more; And I will give my final breath to know you in your death and resurrection, Oh I want to know you more~
